WordPress Plugin

The Training Data Registry WordPress plugin lets you register your content and manage domain verification directly from your WordPress admin panel — no need to visit the dashboard for day-to-day use.

What it does: One-click registration from the post editor, bulk registration via Page Permissions, auto-registration on publish, and domain verification via meta tag.

Availability: The plugin is currently under review in the WordPress Plugin Directory. Once approved, you will be able to install it by searching for “Training Data Registry” in WordPress Admin → Plugins → Add New.

Setup overview

  1. Install and activate the plugin
  2. Go to TDR → Settings and enter your API key
  3. Add your domain verification code and enable the meta tag
  4. Complete verification from your TDR dashboard
  5. Use Page Permissions to register existing content, or enable auto-registration for new posts

Troubleshooting Domain Verification

Having trouble verifying your domain? Check these common issues:

1. Meta tag not found

Our verification bot fetches your homepage and searches the raw HTML response for the meta tag. The tag must be server-rendered, not injected by JavaScript after page load.

How to check:

View your page source (Ctrl+U or Cmd+Option+U) and search for "tdr-verification". If you only see it in browser DevTools but not in View Source, it's being added by JavaScript and won't work.

2. Site not accessible

Your site must be accessible over HTTPS. We follow redirects, so HTTP to HTTPS redirects are fine. If your site is behind authentication or geo-restricted, verification will fail.

3. Code mismatch

The verification code in your meta tag must match exactly what's shown on the verification page. Copy the entire tag, don't retype it manually.

4. Caching issues

If you just deployed, CDN or browser caching may serve the old version. Wait 1-2 minutes and try again, or purge your CDN cache.

5. Platform compatibility

Verification works with most platforms:

  • Works: WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow, static HTML, Next.js, Nuxt, PHP
  • May not work: Pure client-side SPAs that don't server-render meta tags

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate our Terms of Service. This includes:

Grounds for suspension

What happens when an account is suspended

  • You will see a notice when logging in explaining the suspension
  • Your registrations and domain verifications remain on record but may be flagged
  • You will not be able to create new registrations or verify new domains
